What is a screw conveyor? The screw conveyor uses the rotating screw blade to push the material for screw conveyor transportation. The force that the material does not rotate with the screw conveyor blades is the weight of the material itself and the frictional resistance of the screw conveyor casing to the material. It is a kind of trash conveyor systems that is widely used in the mining, feed, grain and oil, and construction industries. It is made of steel and is used to convey high-temperature powder or solid particles and other chemical and building materials products.
The working principle of screw conveyor in conveying materials is basically divided into three categories: pushing method, centrifugal induction method, and gravity sliding method.
This kind of method generally uses spiral blades to convey materials, which are often used for unloading and conveying at the bottom of the silo. The materials are often filled with spirals, and the static pressure of granular materials is relatively large. friction, static pressure).
The resistance of this kind of spiral is very large, and it has to overcome the friction force formed under the larger pressure. When working, the material is like a nut, and the screw acts like a screw. As long as the nut does not rotate (or rotates slowly), the rotation of the screw can make the nut move in the axial direction. The pitch at the outlet end is larger.
It is used for vertical screw conveyors with steep inclination, or any wholesale screw conveyor with high rotation speed. The effect is far greater than the influence of other external forces such as gravity.
The rotation speed of the screw is low, and the material on the screw surface is affected by gravity far more than the centrifugal force. Because the rotating material of the screw continuously slides down the screw surface, the axial displacement is generated. The CX screw machine basically belongs to this principle.
The filling factor value of the screw machine of this principle is generally less than 0.5. Because of too much filling, the material does not slide down the helical surface, but is agitated by the helix to make it fall over the helical axis, and a large axial speed cannot be obtained. Since the material of the slow spiral is greatly affected by gravity, it is obviously not suitable for vertical spiral or upward conveying with a large inclination angle.
According to the sliding method principle, although the volume is small and the conveying capacity is low, the material is in a loose and free rolling state and is less squeezed. When using a standard screw, it can not only maintain a fast sliding speed, but also have a certain ability to adapt to inclined conveying (the inclination angle is generally within 20°).
